Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP
Complete, Connected, Cloud ERP
About
Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP is Oracle's next-generation cloud ERP platform built from the ground up on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). It provides comprehensive financial management, procurement, project management, risk management, and enterprise performance management for large enterprises.
Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP is the strategic successor to Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards. It leverages Oracle's strengths in database technology, AI/ML, and enterprise security. The platform receives quarterly updates with new features — customers are always on the latest version.
History
Oracle, founded by Larry Ellison in 1977, became the world's largest database company. Oracle entered the ERP market by acquiring PeopleSoft ($10.3B, 2005), Siebel ($5.8B, 2006), and Sun Microsystems ($7.4B, 2010).
Oracle Fusion Applications were first announced in 2006 and launched in 2012 as Oracle's answer to SAP and the cloud ERP trend. The platform was built on Oracle Fusion Middleware and later migrated to OCI. By 2024, Oracle Cloud ERP had become one of the top 3 cloud ERP platforms globally, with Oracle reporting $5+ billion in cloud ERP and HCM revenue.
